Director of Program Services - Responsible for ensuring the quality implementation of Special Olympics Utah’s program services. Including: competitive events, coaches’ trainings, Healthy Athletes and Athlete Leadership Programs. Key duties include managing event organizing committees, evaluating sports offerings, providing effective trainings for coaches and other volunteers, and serving as a resource to Regional Sports Staff and Field Service Coordinators as needed for regional/area level events. Director of Finance - Ensures the organization is in compliance with GAAP & FASB, and local and federal accounting requirements. They are responsible for setting and enforcing accounting policies and procedures, all the bookkeeping and period accounting, and other duties as assigned. Contact Ken Miller at miller@sout.org.
Project UNIFY Coordinator- Serves as the youth initiative liaison to all schools, pre-elementary through college, in the state of Utah. Project UNIFY focuses specifically on how to get youth, both those with and those without an intellectual disability, involved as agents of change in their school communities. Working closely with schools to promote inclusion programs and start teams, the Project UNIFY Liaison must be flexible and able to adapt to each individual circumstance. By emphasizing the three goals of Project UNIFY: sports, inclusion, and leadership through presentations, assemblies, and trainings you will have the opportunity to watch as lives are changed. Volunteer and Outreach - Manages, recruits, and trains volunteers for special events and competitions. Distributes information about volunteer opportunities and registrations. Maintains website and social media. Contact Debra Jenson at jenson@sout.org.
