Program and Outreach

Program and Outreach is a sub-committee of the Special Olympics Utah Board of Directors. The intent of this committee is to provide support, guidance and leadership for program-related matters. The committee will serve as a resource to the Special Olympics Utah Board of Directors, Program Department, Area Management Teams, Delegations, Coaches, Volunteers, and Athletes.

The Program and Outreach sub-committee will be focused on leadership in the following capacities: Athlete Leadership, Appreciation, Competition, Family Involvement, Finance, Fundraising (Area/Team), Outreach, Public Relations, Technology (Database Mgmt.), Training, and Volunteers. The sub-committee will also have a role in games evaluation of area and state-level events. P&O members may fill more than one area of expertise.

Each Program and Outreach sub-committee member will be asked to follow up with each of the Area Management Team coordinators in their respective area regularly. Collectively the Program and Outreach sub-committee will provide inspiration, leadership, guidance, and knowledge to Special Olympics Utah’s participants (all athletes and volunteers), staff, and Board of Directors.
