North Area Special Olympics Golf 2012. We are looking forward to Monday 11 June 2012 at Swan Lakes at 5 PM and every Monday thereafter. 2011 Golf Championship was a great success and I hope everyone had fun. Keep in mind that we can still use athletes and partner golfers for this year
Bowling:
Area Bowling and Volleyball for State Games "Snowball Classic 2012" was a huge success. Congratulations to all that participated. Great job and hope everyone enjoyed themselves.
Misplaced Bowling started 3 October 2011. We will still be at the Syracuse Family Fun Center. This will be every Monday starting at 6:00 pm through 27 February 2012. We had almost 12 full teams for 2010/2011. We were short a couple of Unified Sports partners (peers) and athletes for bowling,so if you know someone that might be interested let me know or have them come to the bowling center. We can possibly accommodate a couple more teams if we can find partners and athletes. This is a fun league and a good evening out among friends and family. Utah Open
Again, we had a very successful year with volunteer participation at the 2011 Utah Open. Ned Siegfried and Mitch Jensen presented a check for $30,000 to Special Olympics Utah. The Utah Section PGA Staff was outstanding as usual. When you see them give them a handshake and a special thank you. I also want to thank all the staff at Oakridge for all their help.
I want to personally thank everyone for an outstanding job. Without you this would just be another week at golf. Hope to see you all again in 2012 Same venue, Oakridge Country Club. date yet to be determined. Note: Please try to do full shifts and if possible more than 1 day..This will help out immensley .

17th Annual "Cheryl Gocel Memorial" Golf Tournament
The tournament again was a great success. I hope everyone had a good time. I sure would have liked to have seen someone get a hole in one for any of the prizes offered. Please give a Thank You to Scott and Sheryl Starkey at Swan Lakes for their continued support. Also remember the food etc. and the outstanding job done by Sharon and Laura. I personally want to thank Joanne Ruby and Debi Kopecky and all that were involved in presenting me with the gift to New York. I had a wonderful time and it was good to see my family after many years. Again Thank You from the bottom of my heart, You all are the greatest. Friends like you are hard to find. Also I would like to thank all the sponsors and golf participants for their continued support and hope to see you in 2012 The Tournament date will be 22 September 2012. .Check in time 7:30AM with shotgun start at 8:00AM
